Sleeping Pod Exhibition

  • NW Park and NW Glisan Portland, OR (map)

Live updates and event page:

Facilitated by the Partners On Dwelling (POD) and the Village Coalition, sleeping pods have been designed and built based off of charrettes working with houseless communities and inspired by current Portland villages.

This weekend the pods will be on display with organizers, presentations, and info on hand. 14 sleeping Pods will be set up in a village layout at the northern most part of the North Park Block. Programming details TBD.

This initiative is not intended to be the solution to homelessness in Portland, but one entry point for designers and volunteers to become involved and a model for supporting community making and strong social infrastructure among villages.

Design/Build Teams:
SERA Architects, Holst Architecture, Mackenzie, SRG Partnership / Howard S. Wright, William Wilson Architects, Scott Edwards Architecture, LRS Architects, Communitecture, MoMaMa, Mods PDX + Shelter Wise, Architects Without Borders-OR, City Repair, PSU School of Architecture, & CPID
