BIPOC Placemaker Meet Up!

  • Bison Cafe 3941 Northeast Cully Boulevard Portland, OR, 97213 United States (map)

We are calling for this gathering of Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color (BIPOC) placemakers (artists, musicians, land tenders, community advocates, organizers, etc...) for us to share tools, resources, strategies and needs for us to thrive in our communities and in our places. For us to co-create a brave space to talk about the intersections of race and place and how we can leverage our resources collectively to build place-based empowerment.

On the horizon, City Repair has a placemaking program where we support community art, ecological landscaping, and natural building projects. With this event we will share how our non-profit can support existing and dreamed placemaking intiatives. More info here:

Drinks and light snacks will be provided by City Repair. We got you!

We provide support, resources, and opportunities to help diverse communities reclaim the culture, power, and joy that we all deserve. More info:

The intersections between race and place pose unique challenges and opportunities for us to build upon. Cultivating access to power in place is something that we are learning and re-learning to do here at City Repair.
