Native Garden Tending + Multicultural Market Prep

  • SE Uplift 3534 Southeast Main Street Portland, OR, 97214 United States (map)

Join us in support of SE Uplift to prepare their space for a market on the following day - the Exchange, a multicultural market place that highlights Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

Our goals for the day are to do ecological landscaping - the land is full of natives and rain gardens that need tending, while we also spruce up a parking lot where the market will pop up.

Snacks and tools provided, but feel free to bring your favorite pruners! Dress for the weather! Drop in anytime during the working hours. All skill levels welcome and we love to teach! Contact Kirk at for more details.

For full info on the market check out:

The Exchange is a multi-cultural day market that will bring together food, art, and performances from a wide spectrum of our community. We want to highlight and make space to support local vendors of color and their respective crafts. Our mission is to make meaningful connections across perceived differences to create more vibrant communities.
