This series of optional workshops can be considered a concise course in community design and project implementation. This course provides an overview on participatory design processes, including numerous additional and vital dimensions of design. These will include ecological resilience, permaculture, and urban agriculture systems; natural building and alternative systems, and placemaking. We will coach each participating community through their own iterative process until they are ready to implement during the culmination of the VBC, in the middle of June.
