Description

Manifestation PDX has been beautifying their artist collective warehouse since 2013. During the 2014 VBC, an earthen oven was built at on-site. Their ultimate goal is to turn their dead end street and industrial warehouse yard into an urban oasis. Volunteers for the VBC worked to incorporate nature into the industrial setting by building planter boxes, trellis’, and vertical gardens. They also painted murals and transformed an old shipping container into an up-cycled art space! Other experiments included a water catchment, storage and distribution system, and the creation of a sweat lodge.
